ICC: Fatou Bensouda receives the UNO peace prize

For « her effort in favor of justice and human rights« , the United Nations Organization (UNO) has just awarded the Peace Prize to Fatou Bensouda, prosecutor at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The awards ceremony for prestigious prize took place in Barcelona, Spain.

Former Minister of Justice and general prosecutor of Gambia is the first African woman to have reached at the head of the ICC.

She was appointed general prosecutor of the ICC on 12th December 2011, succeeding so to Luis Moreno Ocampo.
